Extra Ideas
Here are some extra ideas which don't fall into the other categories
Auction Night: The leaders will have a list of items and prices (found on internet/catalogues), and in the patrols, the Explorers will decide what to bid for and how much. The patrols will all start with an amount of 'Money', there amount will increase if they manage to win an item for less than the actual amount, but they will loose money if they win the item, but at an higher cost. The winners are the patrol with the highest amount left at the end of the night.
**Equipment needed - Only a list of objects and their prices **
Party Night: End of term (Christmas/Summer) - themed party night (i.e. Hawaiian), messy games, fancy dress, non-alcoholic cocktails etc.
**Equipment needed - depends on 'party' **
Fancy Dress: Also can be part of the party night
Film Making: Using their video cameras, get each patrol to make a small film/movie (Horror, Comedy etc). Explorers will be informed week before so the can bring props/clothes etc.
**Equipment needed - 1 video recorder per patrol (maybe a phone or camera), props brought in by Explorers **
Flags of the World: Give each patrol a map of the World and a selection of flags, which they need to then pin the flags to the right countries
**Equipment needed - Mini flags, maps of the world **
Movie Night: Themed night which includes a Movie/Movie trilogy, then a sleep over at the Ark.
Wii Night: Set up several Nintendo Wii s and have a 'dance off', Sports night etc
**Equipment needed - 3 or 4 Nintendo Wiis**
Karaoke Night: A complete night, where either as patrols, solo, duets etc the Explorers randomly select a song and sing it.
Drama Night: Each Patrol has a scene from a film or a famous play, they have to act it out and the other patrols have to guess what film or famous play it's from. If a patrol guesses the film or play correctly they get 2 points and if they get half of it correct they get 1 point. At the end the patrol with the most points wins but if two patrols have the same points then they do a tie-breaker, where they act out a different scene from a different film, until one patrol gets the right answer and wins.
Hybrids: Each patrol, picks out randomly from a bag 2 pieces of paper. One each paper will be the name of an animal. In their patrols they need to come up with a new name for their cross-bred animal, draw the new animal and give information regards to its habitat, diet etc.
